      The book arrived as described and as pictured. It shipped quickly, but was shipped in only a plastic bag mailer, so not much protection. I will also forewarn, the seller does not answer questions about the specific condition of a book. I know because I asked if two different books had any writing in the margins and received the same pre-generated response both times declining to answer. Despite this, I would still recommend this seller if you are willing to shoulder that risk buying used books

      Best Cookbook Ever

      My Mom had a cookbook like this in the 50's, I had the next issue which was Betty Crocker's NEW Picture Cookbook. Pretty much the same recipes, but with a different cover, so I can truthfully say that Betty Crocker taught me how to cook. Unfortunately, after 40 years of use, I used my cookbook to death. Some people think that old recipes must not be as good, but not so. The old recipes are usually the best, and this is a cookbook that a person could, and would want to use every day. Good old down-home cooking. It can teach you how to make simple things like gravy meatloaf all the way up to fancy dishes, so it could be the only cookbook a person would ever need. I compared this new reproduction cookbook with an old version of it. The pages in the new version are much whiter, so ...

      Great cookbook!

      I have observed my mom using this book when I was little and now I use it in my kitchen. I love it ! It is my go to book when I want to find a recipe or check something out. It contains great, usable, practical recipes. But you can find anything you want in here. I bought this as a gift for my brother, who was also looking for the same book to add to his kitchen. So thanks to eBay, I found one very easily!

      Comprehensive, using ingredients that grandma used to use

      I purchased this for my 90-year-old mother who wore out her original Betty Crocker cookbook years ago. She wasn't happy with the edition that was available (1982) when she needed a replacement. She missed the recipes i in the old edition. Her eyes lit up when she realized she had her old cookbook again, but brand new.

      Great For New Cooks/Bakers

      Great cookbook for the new cook/baker! I got this because my mother-in-law had gotten it from her mother-in-law many years ago. They are both gone and I worried the book would be out of print for my daughters. So much basic info and great old recipes. I wish my mother-in-law had given one to me when I was first married!
