      Bivvy brilliant! 😀

Great bivvy that fits all my needs. Can't wait to try it out in a good blow and the snow. Perfect for kayak expedition as it packs down small and is lightweight. Ideal if you want to see a sunrise from the mountain tops or if you are star gazing. A good sleeping bag and thermorest mat would be advisable.

      Not bad....

Well I used this for four days whilst walking a section of the Offa's Dyke path. Luckily I had relatively good weather apart from torrential rain on the afternoon of day four and some thunder. The bivi weighs very little and takes up next to no space in a backpack. It fits into its own stuff sack. It is ridiculously easy to erect, takes minutes. The seven pegs supplied are a little sharp and I managed to bend two slighty by using my walking boot to hammer them in, oops!! Obviously I was not going to add the weight of a mallet to my pack. Because the length of the thing is a good two metres and I am only five foot six I was able to put my empty pack and most of my gear into the bottom of the bivi, which has the advantage of raising it a few inches. The hooped head end is also quite roomy ...

    • Brilliant bivi

The Stratosphere from Snugpack is an exceptional bivi sack. Its waterproof and has a two pole head end with vents to reduce condensation, it also has a mesh screen incorporated into the top which you can zip up should a storm come your way or you can open it up to the stars. I would highly recommend this bivii if you are the 'happy to rough it' type.

    • Bivy bag

Found this bivy ok. Campet on the top of scafel. Wet and windy night but managed to keep dry and warm. Quick and easy to erect did the trick.

    • Great product

Not tested 'in anger' yet but set up in garden and was a breeze to do. Looks very capable and will test later this month or March on a wild-camping trip. Hoops and mosi-screen make it less claustrophobic than fully enclosed and unhooped biviis. The extra weight of poles worth it in my opinion.
