Great for expecting mothers,new baby & older children.
When I heard about this book, I thought it would be an appropriate gift. My daughter was pregnant and also has a 3 year old. When I read the book, I was not disappointed, and did not wait for the new baby to be born to give it to my daughter. I had felt that it should be a great help to talk to children about pregnancy and prepare them for the birth of the new baby . My daughter read the book to her 3 year old, who enjoyed it and somehow took time to absorb how this book is so different from her other books. Eventually she wanted it read again. My feelings are that this book is a simple way to introduce the physical aspects of a new life, but it is also an excellent tool to express that life is a gift from God, and has a spiritual dimension to it.When I heard about this book, I thought it would be an appropriate gift. This is a great book for new brothers and sisters!!
This is a wonderful children's book that teaches the fundamentals of respect for life (without beginning any conversations a young child might not be ready for) and helps new siblings understand how the newest member of their family is developing. The pictures are great and the book is even a starting point for further discussions. It really helps them relate to their new sibling and understand where they came from as well. This is an extremely moving, touching, loving book reaching out to ALL ages telling of the miracle of a baby's journey of life in its mother's womb with its guardian angel. I love, love, love this book and cry every time I read it. My children love being read this book and hearing how their guardian angel is always with them, even when they were growing in my belly. A MUST read for everyone. I give this book to every expectant mother I know.
