    Organized Reference

    Instead of spending hours looking up a plant, whether online or asking a specialist, get this book! If you even know one of the criteria (flower type, plant type, leaf type), Newcomb will guide you in identifying the plant. Newcomb begins with explaining and educating you about the basic criteria, and asking the basic questions that will enable you to identify the plant. The cross reference is easy to navigate. Some illustrations are in color, while others are drawings. In either case, they are good enough to compare to what your eyes are viewing. This is a must have for herbalists and adventures of the wild!

    Excellent Wildflower Book

    There are so many drawings and descriptions of flowers, plants, leaves, vines, shrubs, etc. I'll be busy for the next 5 years. The book goes into so much detail, even though 99% of the book is in black and white with a handful of coloured pages, it's still a treasure trove of information.
