This an old speedlite but still works with canon Dslr cameras and film cameras not to big.

Typical Canon, well made and compact...but no swivel feature, just up and down. Getting on a bit now but ok for a basic flash and secondry use as it's not a powerul gun.

Bought as a replacement for a previous flash that stopped working. Works extremely well with my Canon EOS D5 MK3. Highly recommended. Prompt delivery.

This was a used item when I purchased it but it looked like brand new. This flash works on my Canon 500D just like the modern versions of the same flash (the "EX" range). It has a full TTL function or can be set to manual. I really have no qualms about this smart little flash and it does the job for me.
This is the second 380EX I have bought - the first on my 600D, the latest for my son's 350D and for what we need it is absolutely perfect. The flash was the first from Canon to use E-TTL, basically exposure feedback to reduce output power of the flash to give the correct exposure (apologies to those of a more technical nature). As a result it will happily keep up with 3.7fps continuous shooting for several frames if on fresh batteries (have shoot 200 or so flash pictures so far on the same set of batteries). The other feature I have just used whilst testing my latest purchase is the high speed syncro setting. With my 600D on auto, I was taking some test shots in the spare bedroom lit by two 60W bulbs, without flash but on automatic the camera was setting itself to 1/30S, F5.1 @ ISO3200 using an 18-135 EFS lens. Turning on the flash I was able to set the shutter speed to 1/4000s and F5.1 and still got a perfectly exposed picture. Lastly, the auto zoom feature is useful. OK I don't have a 24-105mm L series lens to take full advantage of the range on offer but I have used it succesfully with a 28-105mm EF lens and the 18-135mm lens. Performance is 4 stars as there are better flashes out there and it is a big lump on top of the camera (but surprisingly not arm-achingly heavy), but second hand it is 5 stars for value and so far battery life is excellent with the Duracell Procells I am using. For what I am using the camera and flash for, typically family gatherings/weddings etc., I would give it 5 stars as it has not let me down.Read full review
I was going to purchase a 'non-marque' product, but on seeing a genuine Canon flash on Ebay I made a great choice !! I have an idea that this particular model is out of production, but no matter..............it works perfectly on my recently purchased (October 2011) EOS 600d.
