They can't be bothered to look inside the body for identifying information, so I'm not surprised that the response was 31". The largest violin end-to-end is 24" so they obviously measured the case. Not helpful info at all.

Unfortunately, they didn't work because they wouldn't hold a charge. That said—two things: first, Apple was able to repair them because they still had an Apple are policy attached, so lucky me! Second, the seller was willing and able to offer me either a partial refund or a return! I took the partial refund, which they honored even after Apple fixed them!
