    There is a reason it is a classic. Get this book if you are a beginning learner of Spanish.

    If you really want to learn conversational Spanish, this book can really help. I teach conversational Spanish and am always looking for the "perfect" book for my students . I haven't found one yet, but this one is fantastic for rich content and easy-to-learn concepts. It is set up as a series of partner practice activities, and you can be your own partner if necessary. The book is an excellent value for what you get (lots of vocabulary and practice). What you don't get is an up-to-date look and lots of pictures, both of which I like in a language book. However, most newer books cost 5 to 10 times as much! So if you can handle a book with only a few pictures and not much cultural information but a whole lot of content, you will be very pleased.     The Spanish teacher I have been looking for.

    I've tried to learn Spanish several times before and was not able to retain very much. This book has been the best I've encountered. You can start at any level and progress at your own speed. I am taking my time and not moving on until I am comfortable. I find the book so vauable, I purchased a second one after my copy was inadvertantly thrown away and consider it money well spent.

    Good basic spanish study book.

    Great basic book to learn spanish. Starts very basic by using simple past tense sentences and progresses to more advanced. Book uses lots of repetition and answers provided to measure your progress. I'm glad l got this one.
