Notes
A "nasty," groove-oriented record, a Go Go is fueled by the raw synergy forged between famed jazz guitarist John Scofield and the premier organ trio of the '90s: John Medeski, Billy Martin and Chris Wood (whose youthful audience has made the trio's last 2 releases resounding best-sellers). This album is a monster funk epic that will appeal to MMW's large fan base, as well as Scofield's loyal following. Expect multi-format airplay starting with a #1 hit at college jazz radio!

I wanted to listen all the way through to the 3 CDs and also watch the entire documentary before reviewing. PERFECT CONDITION, as described. Shipped quickly and securely, flawless transaction and I got a remarkable collection for an excellent price. To anyone looking at reviews for this item (Bela Fleck, Africa Sessions), I highly recommend. Grateful to find this! A++++++++++++++++++++ for the item AND the seller/transaction. Thanks.

  • One of my Favorites by Scofield for a number of reasons..

I love this cd because I believe "A Go Go" and possibly "Uberjam" are both the beginnings of Medeski, Scofield, Martin, & Wood. I love John Scofield, he IS my favorite guitar player and I was so happy to have this cd and "Uberjam" after not having them for ten years or so. I believe this particular cd features members is Medeski, Martin, & Wood, which makes his backing band just phenomenal. John Medeski's Hammond Organ solo on the track 'Chank' is to die for along with the rest of the track, but it is all amazing. If your only the fence about purchasing this cd, find 'Chank' on youtube and it WILL decide if you will like it or not. Hope this helps someone and opens someone's eyes to art of John Scofield. M,S,M,&W's cd "Out Louder" is also fantastic. Cheers.
