    A beautiful item, absolutely pristine condition, like it's been kept in cotton wool for the last 200 years. Very lucky that eBay's shipping buddies chose to route it through Royal Mail, because they handle parcels carefully, so being wedged diagonally in a box that's too small for it didn't become a problem. The straightforward routing also meant it arrived in just 11 days, much like sending it directly to the UK by USPS. Doesn't really explain why eBay (over)charged me $53 for shipping, though.
