This litter picker is easy to use, accurate when grabbing litter and has a very good grip at the tip and easily picks up small items such as cigarette butts and cable ties.

This lasted a couple of months, taking it out litter picking two or three times a week. We picked up a fair amount with it, but it gave up the ghost today. The jaw hangs loosely open and it can't be fixed. There seemed to be no particular reason why it failed, I guess it is just cheaply made. Putting a litter picker in the dustbin to go to landfill seems wrong, but there it is. I have ordered a good quality British made one to replace it, which I expect will give better service.

Excellent tool, adds a new dimension to my walks along the canal towpaths. The handle is only a push fit onto the aluminium tube, which (you'll see what i mean when you buy it) restricts the jaw opening of the tool until you spot why its happening and the handle also rotates w.r.t. the tool. Requires a user fix with super glue.

I bought these (you get 2 in the pack), to have one in the living room and one in the dining room. So far I have had no problems, they have a magnetic tip which I find very handy, and a rotational grab which means you can slide the grabber into fairly narrow spaces and still have the handle in its most convenient position for the hand. When you get to 85 you need these things. Getting down to pick things up is fine, getting up again isn't. So, good old grabber comes to the rescue. There are some things it can't pick up due to weight, but you expect that, but I have a son who can do that, after much moaning.

I guess the item could be a little more robust, but that would make it heavier. As it stands, it's light in your hand, the handle doesn't require a strong grip, and the "business end" does its job very well in picking up and holding on to items. Recommended at the price I paid for it (under £8).
