  • Treasure of information about an important topic , probably the best in it's genre .

Fascinating book offering a rare look at what is buried beneath city of Rome . It seems that quite a lot of what was buried under new constructions was hard to let go of and IMHO , it is likely that the subterranean spaces may have continued to be used long after new constructions were built on top . From an architectural point of view , it is interesting to see the construction and artistic methods that there may be little else in the way of understanding them otherwise .
