    Firstly, I acknowledge I have received a full refund for this item. The reason for the negative feedback is as follows: 1. This was described as new (other) it arrived poorly packaged, broken and unsafe, and had no user manual. It had also clearly been used and was not clean. Note that I paid the normal retail price for this item so no excuse for being a bargain 2. The refund was issued at the last minute on eBay’s intervention rules with no communication or reassurance.

    Another fine Panasonic microwave!

    We've always bought Panasonic combination microwaves (well, only two previously, due to their longevity). The previous one developed a fault which was not economic to repair, but after 11 years of daily family use I reckon we'd had good value from it. I was hesitant to buy this one after some of the reviews about it not being a 'true' convection oven (it isn't) and complaints about the turntable drive. It's different. So, what Panasonic have done with this over the previous model is done away with the heating element behind the panel at the back (which also contained the fan) and they now use the quartz grill elements for the convection oven setting, and a fan blows air around to distribute the heat. Hmm, I thought, that's not so good. But I've used it to cook jackets and a quiche (not ...

    RUBBISH PURCHASE

    This is the most complex oven ever designed and the instruction booklet is appalling. There is no logic to its operation and after 3 weeks and tears of frustration my wife has given up on its functions and only uses it a microwave - and that with some difficulty. Sadly there is no YouTube clip for instructions so our plan is to keep it a few months and aw it on our village website - can't sell it before that as no one would believe our reason for sale being "we can't make it work"

    Great looking quality Panasonic combination oven

    We needed a new combination microwave to replace our old (panasonic) one that had finally failed after 7 years (hard) use. This had to be the same dimensions and capacity and, given our positive experience with Panasonic kit (2 x microwaves, phones, DVR, etc), it was the obvious choice for a replacement. This was supposedly a discounted Panasonic Refurbished item, so came with full manufacturers warranty, etc. However, when received in its original packaging with just the original delivery label removed, it seemed to us that this was in fact brand new and unused. When compared with our last model, this had a simplified panel with some useful new features ( quick 30 second setting is especially welcome), including addition power levels that add to flexibility, and a slightly larger ...

    The best microwave we've ever had ... by a long way.

    This is, by a long way, the best microwave either my husband or I have ever used. It's controls are intuitive, and also give you instructions as you go along; for example, if you press the power button to get the power level you want, a scrolling message appears to say to choose the time next. It has a really big oven so that you can get big dishes in it. The baked potatoes came out all lovely and crispy if you followed the instructions in the manual. The manual comes with some good recipes too. I think we could cook everything we needed for two people with just his oven, though we would need a traditional oven for entertaining, or for Christmas meals etc.

    Review of new NN-CD58JS Nearly same capacity but much more compact than prtvious model

    Much more compact than previous NCT 857 combination model. Also simpler to use. Cooking performance good. Previous model had poor door design. Hinge pin/bracket wore out meaning that otherwise working machine needed to be scrapped.
