    NOT WORTH TIME AND EFFORT

    I am so glad that this was the last in the series of Scarpetta books. It was a stinker and at the end I so hoped that the majority of the characters, excluding Pete Marino and the family pets, would have had something terrible happen to them. In my humble opinion, her niece Lucy should have been sent to jail and her husband Benton should have gone off into the great beyond. Terrible plot. At least I can say that I finished all 26 books in the series and have moved on to another author.
