I watched Julian Ilett build this on one of his videos and thought it looked interesting so ordered one. Nice and easy to build and use. I put it in a little case and its not on the workbench.

From this saler This 50 MHz frequency counter has delivered with a non working software . I the market there are a lot of this product . Mult search the internet , only a experienced person can find the "original" person who is the designer and has write the software . I have bought several of thee frequency counter/crystal checkers . They work well for xtals over 7MHz and I can easily check every 16MHz xtal when building an Arduino project. I will use some for audio, IF and RF signal generator projects. For low frequency xtals I shall do a simple mod. For low level input signals, a preamp is required. Amazing value, well made and accurate.

Includes an extra capacitor for the mod that makes the crystal checker better but disappointingly no socket (or pins) to solder into the frequency counter intput position!

can't get it to read Crystals even when you change a capacitor very unstable.

The frequency counter is good but the crystal tester is not well implemented and is best converted into a pre-amplifier for the counter.
