If, like me you have an older Mac that runs Yosemite and can't be upgraded due to tech restraints but is perfectly usable in every other way then this keyboard may not be for you! Let me explain a little, my 'U' key became increasingly hard to operate with my original wireless keyboard to the point I had to nearly thrash the key to get an input! I'd had enough and decided to get a new wireless Magic Keyboard II. I connected it as instructed but got no on screen prompts or info and no battery level indicator and none of the top row function keys work as they should except the 'esc' and 'eject' key. All I've done to combat this is to place my Magic keyboard on top of my older one with the top row of keys accessible at the top using the old one as a rest, they both work without conflict and I just charge my Magic one once a month! Hope this helps! Turner.Read full review

The Apple Wireless Keyboard 2 is an improvement on the original (which I also have) and the re-chargeable battery lasts weeks, if not months between charging depending on usage. The key action is shallower than the original as is the title angle, both giving more of a laptop feel in use. This may not be to everyone's taste so go to an apple store and try it first before buying.

I have owned a Magic Keyboard 1, and this is much easier to pack, and since it charges via USB, it's less hassle, not needing batteries. I am a software engineer, and so use it mostly for programming. Very nice quality keyboard. Previously a had a cheaper generic Targus keyboard, but that didn't have an escape key, which the apple keyboard does have. Vital for programming. I recommend it.

I bought these to use with my iPad 8 as sometimes I find the on-screen keyboard difficult as I have a wrist problem. So glad I did! Seamless pairing, long battery life, nice to use and, of course, as with all Apple products both look absolutely stunning. Definitely worth paying that little bit more for.

Very well made portable pretty perfect in many ways but even second hand not cheap. Will last for years but don’t get one too old as diminishing internal battery.

I purchased this as I kept having to replace the batteries in my original keyboard, which was a bit difficult to do and to remember to insert the correct way round, so this keyboard is ideal for me. Set up of this keyboard, was incredibly easy, especially with the accompanying guide as reference. The keyboard is exceptionally light and due to its design, I am able to comfortably touch type again! I highly recommend this product as it has met more than my expectations. Thank you!

Really great quality product. Expensive for what it is, but the quality compensates for this. It is more like a MacBook keyboard in that it lies flat, but if you don't mind this, it's great.
