Bought for the MG6851 printer, which is still supported according to a recent website check. The print quality for photos and documents is fine for home use. I haven’t used these cartridges, as I’ve never been able to get that printer to connect with wifi, possibly due to poor internet. Previously, the printer printed offline - but this stopped recently. Without an app to manage the issue, I have now replaced my printer with another that uses an app and connects to wifi.

The quality of the inks is obviously good but to have to pay as much for replacement Canon inks as I paid for the original printer WITH inks just doesn't make sense! I have yet to see how many print jobs they will do, but suspect not as many as my old printer. Also the promotional statement that having four separate cartridges instead of one combined cartridge means you only have to replace individual colours doesn't work out in practice since I've yet to source a supplier of single cartridges!

I have always used genuine canon ink cartridges and I would never consider using compatible inks; my last Canon printer was nearly 10 years old when it had to be replaced so it definitely makes sense to use original Canon Ink for your printer. Using original canon inks will give you excellent results every time as I have certainly discovered over the years. They also appear to and maximize the performance and life of your printer which again is an added bonus. I have only just started printing photos and was very surprised at the quality of the prints I achieved using genuine canon ink cartridges which appear to be very economical which definitely surprised me. I guess this must be due to Canon's advanced printing technology.

These Genuine Canon inks give excellent results ;but, they cost only £7.00 less than the printer and inks combined AND when i first got the printer in each colour cartridge there was a mega stingy 7 ml of ink. Now there is only 6.5 ml of ink. You robbing B******S Canon.and the other makes seem much the same . They might as well give everybody a printer gratis and carry on charging what they do for the inks .They would quickly be in profit just the same. New technology heads mean they use less ink but what Canon do is give you a lot less ink than the older tech inks yet the costs must be the same. No benefit for a customer here. If I could buy a compatible product that doesn't clog the heads, I would. I'm just an occasional printer.Comparable inks may be OK for people who print a lot.

Got new Printer and whilst in Warranty (but maybe longer) I will run it on "proper" Ink. So I have bought these but as yet have not had to use them. Suspect they will be fine. I have scored Good value as No because they are really expensive. Almost as much for the 5 replacement inks as the Printer itself originally cost and which came with Ink. I have said good quality as I expect it will be - but I would not recommend the ink just due to the cost

Because canon I is might be dearer but they are the best printer inks I have used. I have photos 20 yrs old & they have not faced or discoloured in any way. If that is not testimont for excellence then WHAT IS?
