This is a very competent smartphone, with more capability than is likely to be used. (eg 4K slow motion video recording). It was a present for my wife, who is very pleased with it and thinks it's a huge improvement over her previous Xperia M with Android 4. Battery life is adequate. Maximum screen brightness is sufficient for easy outside viewing. The dual SIM capability will be very useful when travelling abroad with a locally bought, loaded SIM card. The upgrade from Android 8 (Oreo) to 9 (Pie) requires over a dozen sequential downloads of incremental upgrades - each must be installed individually before the next upgrade can be downloaded. The process is straightforward, but takes around a couple of hours or so. For the price paid, this was an excellent buy.

This phone has surprised me the most out of all the flagship devices that I've owned, the Xz2 delivers. It has a gorgeous screen, shots better photograph than the Note 8 and IPhone x and is faster and more responsive than the Note 9. The battery life is outstanding - I've had 10 hours on screen time and 6 days on standby, when not used much. Speakers are stereo, with a bass punch and it fits perfectly into your hand. I bought it as a second back up phone and was very pleasantly surprised with it's performance in day to day use, so much that I'm selling my Note 9!

Application load time is very fast, feel and layout is what one expect of a Sony product..just lovely. Personally I love the look and feel, though a grippy case is required for assurity in the hand.
