    Not all that scary but interesting.

    We saw this video many years ago. The storyline is great and easy to follow. It's not really very scary, but the movie is engrossing. The acting is good. Worth a watch.

    Murder Mystery in NYC with Indian Mythology/Supernatural

    1981 had three great movies involving wolves/werewolf themes, THE HOWLING, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, and WOLFEN. WOLFEN involves indian mythology/supernatural in an investigator's search for answers involving the deaths of prominent people in NYC. I've had this on dvd and thought it was worth upgrading to blu ray. You won't be disappointed in this terrific film.

    Simply an outstanding movie.

    "Wolfen" is a great, very engaging, quite realistic "monster" movie. It's theme of "super wolves" has actually been shown to be true, although the real ones aren't as intelligent as the Wolfen. High contrast scenes show the story from the Wolfens' point of view. It has a realistic plot that blends perfectly with the Wolfens' super senses. Excellent performances by Albert Finney, Gregory Hines, Edward James Olmos and Diane Venora. Highly recommended for anyone who loves exciting, quality movies.
