    Great little item to have on hand

    This tripod is great for those times you need a photo taking of a group or when you just want a photo of yourself with a beautiful back drop. When used with an attachment you can take selfies with out having to try and angle it so your arm holding the phone is not in the photo. It’s small and compact so is a breeze to have with you all the time. The added benefit of the magnetic feet are also surprisingly useful. Pop it on top of your car to take a shot and you can be reassured that it’s not going to fall over. (dependant on what material the car is made from)

    Compact and sticky

    Having previously bought a cheap, chinese copy which lasted about twelve months, I decided to buy something with a little more quality. The Joby gorillaPod magnetic tripod seemed to fit the bill. So what is it like in real life? First the tripod is compact and the legs fold up so it can be packed in a bag easily. The tripod has a standard camera screw mount which fitted my compact camera. The tripod is adjustable to alter the angle and if you spread the legs you can alter the height or make it more stable on an uneven surface. I altered the legs so my camera pointed down at a desk. The ends of the tripod legs are magnetic so they stick to steel items. I stuck mine on a fridge door and on a cooker hood (low quality stainless steel).     Very small but robust.

    A lot smaller than other models, which means it will not wrap around a branch, but this is not what I wanted. It fits unseen in a pocket or camera case and is great for placing on uneven ground for those group photos or long exposures.
