    I keep getting glimpse of a talent pool out there in the film industry who know how to make the movies that I've been waiting for my whole life. This is one of those examples. On par with "It Follows"--"John Dies At The End"--"Drag Me To Hell"--"Tucker and Dale vs Evil"--"Attack the Block"--"Kickass"--(switching gears)--"Dairy of a Teenage Girl"--"Perks of Being a Wallflower"--"Me and Earl and the Dying Girl"--and "Lars and the Real Girl." "Paper Towns" was a huge disappointment. The latter not withstanding, these films, or rather the people making them, show that they are unafraid. Unafraid of the subject matter--the noir--the genre--and unafraid to poke fun at it, while maintaining the utmost respect for the medium in which they work.     Love this film. It's got comedy, horror, and sappy love story. All in one. I love how it basically satirizes the satirical horror movies. The lever of cheese is just the right amount. Very fun, creatively done film.
