The advantage of obtaining directly from the manufacturer being their vested interest and cost saving through accepting "open box". Not expecting a significant upgrade considering the built in Alva TT V2 table has almost exactly the same phono preamp circuit. However, the added headphone option will allow me to conduct late night listening without annoying the family members, since my primary amp lacks the headphone socket.

I hear no influence or noise just an overall lift and push like compression yet with greater detail high mid and lows. very happy.
