I’ve had both the D and O models of these. There’s very little difference between them apart from the fretboard seem to be slightly wider on the O model. Both are excellent. However, the D model seems to stay in tune better than the O model. This must be a production quirk as the hardware is identical. Ideal for strumming or finger picking type playing. Trying to get some more volume by strumming harder results in the tone getting distorted so if you need louder, then a clip on or stick on type of pickup through an amp is needed. Amplifying this way sounds very good too. All in all these crossroads guitars seem to be excellent value.

Its been a long time but I'm happy to start with this GUITAR. The colour of the guitar is slightly different and I like the dark wood tone. I've just managed to get it tune nicely and on these warm summer nights its nice to have a new project of learning before the winter.

A lovely looking guitar, whose sound matches those good looks. Great value for under £100, Just breaking the newness off the strings at the moment, but pleased with its' sound, even at this early stage. I already have a larger dreadnought, which obviously has a bigger, mellower tone, but actually I am quite impressed with this ones' resonance, and although the sound is lighter, due to its' smaller bodysize, it still has a nice 'warmth' to it, which I'm sure will grow with time and use...

I already own a £500 Tanglewood Parlour and took a chance on one of these for fun. The guitar arrived double packed and played great out of the box. All acoustics will need the action adjusting to your preference and that's simply reducing the height of the saddle. Intonation is spot on and they sound fantastic. Made of laminated woods these cheap guitars are very very stable and keep fantastic tune. I would recommend changing the strings for new ones, but that's the same for any new guitar you buy. I did relax the truss rod one quarter turn so that it was more comfortable to play as I like a really low action. But honestly out of the box these guitars are very playable for the incredibly cheap price.
