      A Nice Compact Collection of Great Moody Blues Music

      I have been planning to purchase this 5x CD set by The Moodie Blues for a long time. I finally found a well enough priced, brand new, sealed set for $19.14 (incl s&h), and placed my order. HOWEVER: I was disappointed with the manufactured packaging when I opened it. It is a really bare bones packaging with every CD slipped into its own cardboard envelope tho', with the original vinyl album's cover image reproduced for each envelope. Most upsetting is the total absence of any lyrics of the songs. When I compare this 5x CD set with the 1967- 1970 Blue 2x CD set from The Beatles in its Digipak format, then my disappointment becomes even more real. The Beatles 2x CD set cost about the same.as the 5x CD Moodies set; BUT The Beatles digipak not only contains ALL the song lyrics, but also much ...

      Stick with the greatest hits. Just because you live the Moody Blues doesn’t mean you will love this collection of their music

      The acoustics on a lot of songs could have been better. I don’t think we’ll produced. I love the MB but listened to one cd and was disappointed. I listen to their Greatest Hits all the time but feel these were not put together well. A lot has to do with how it was recorded.

      Music, Ma’am, just the music.

      This is a little box set of five CDs. No liner notes that the original albums may have had, just a simple CD with the music. Each sleeve does have the track list, so it is easy to find what you want. Cost per track is phenomenal! But if you really want all the original artwork, buy an original vinyl album from back in the day.

      This is an excellent collection of the MBs 5 best albums on cds for an affordable price.

      Unfortunetly the other 2 albums Days of Future Past and In Search of the Lost Chord are not included in this collection which could have been part of a 7 classic albums collection. But for collectors looking to replace their MBs albums this cd set is a wonderful way to start a MBs cd collection. The cds sound quality is the best and unlike albums this set does not take up a lot of space. It sounds better when played on a Bose Sound System.
