      Shell Helix Ultra

      It is generally well know, that Shell fuel and lubricants are high quality. Having just bought a low mileage used car, I wanted to make sure the oil in the sump was good. I usually do an oil change, as soon as I get the car. Then after a month or so, drain and refill. This generally makes the engine internals as clean as possible. Shell has good detergent additives, and the first lot is in the engine now. Oil is not cheap, but the price this was offered at, was too good to miss. Probably half the price of a filling station purchase. Top quality product at low end price, thanks to e-bay traders.

      Not 5 Ltrs!

      So I bought this as my car takes exactly 4.5ltrs on a full change, the bottle was sealed and oil appears to be the exact quality. But once measured it was actually just under 4.5lts. A little disappointed to be honest as I had to buy another small bottle to make up the difference. Hence why I have left the 3 stars. The oil itself is good, just a shame the bottle wasn’t full as advertised. I can’t point the finger at the seller, as again this was a sealed unit.

      Shell helix 5w30 ag

      Excelent oil, engine runs smoother and it s made with natural gas. Plus it s recommended for my car(kia rio mk2). Was using another oil brand but when engine was cold could here clicking valves for an easy 30 seconds, now once I start the engine I barely hear that noise that means the oils flows instantly.

      The best oil at a great price.

      Shell Helix Ultra fully synthetic is the best oil that you can put in your car - just ask Ferrari. Maserati, BMW et al. I`ve been using Shell oils for over 30 years now - from Shell Gemini back in the 80`s to Shell Helix Ultra today - so i know from experience that they are the best. Shell Helix Ultra contains 3 times as much calcium as Castrol Edge so cleans your engine 3 times better than than Castrol Edge does, plus i get better MPG, more power, zero oil consumption and my car runs smoother and quieter too. Go on, give your car a treat and put some Shell Helix Ultra in and feel the difference for yourself.

      A quality fully synthetic oil that is not a silly price

      It is great that Hyundai go to some trouble in their vehicle handbooks, and associated paperwork, to recommend particular Shell Helix oils for use in their cars. I am very particular about the choice of oil for my car having learnt the hard way many years ago. If Hyundai had not recommended it there are certain well-promoted brands (at stupidly high cost) that might otherwise have been tempting.
