Canon Super Telephoto 500 F4 L
This is a very serious bit of kit for keen amateur photographers, works well with 1.4x extender III. Be warned though it is a very big lens & heavy and although it can be used hand held it really needs to be on a support of some kind. I bought this to use alongside 300mm F2.8 (also a great lens) and am very pleased with it. Mk 1 versions are a bargain in my view.

Great Expectations
I think this second hand lens is very good value as i have read many reviews as to the image quality and reliability. I have little oppertunity to use it out in the field as to the appauling weather and light in the recent weeks since i purchased it with my work commitments. I am confident that it will live up to expectations and i am looking forward to seeing the results in the time to come. So as yet not tested but no regrets with my purchase.I think this second hand lens is very good value as i have read many reviews as to the image quality and reliability. Man and lens in perfect harmony
I've used this lens for a couple of months now for birds and all wildlife and its an absolute joy. It's well balanced and very quick to focus. The detail through my 5D mk4 is excellent. I use it hand held without mono or tripod. This is a challenge at times towards the end of the day. However this lens balance is so much better than previous ones.
