I debated buying one of these for quite a while as the oscillator section is very, very basic but you can, along with the filters (HP & LP), get quite a wide variety of tones from them & when you add in the extensive modulation capabilities and the good quality effects you have a very capable synth. It's great for dark, organic textures, sparkly arpeggios & experimental analogue noodling but the presets show it can do classic synth tones too (it's based on the Juno). I don't use the editing app much but I've got a lot of good patches from using the patch-morpher so it is well worth installing just for that. Build quality is excellent but the faders are a bit wobbly which makes fine adjustments a bit tricky (although there is a data knob you can use for fine increments). Also, I would have happily paid more for a better quality screen. It's big & clear but just looks a bit cheap. Don't be put off by the fan, I've had mine turned down to barely audible for over a year with no problems.Read full review

I toyed with buying a Deepmind 12 for a while. I'm now glad I did. The Deepmind 12 is a superb synth full of very usable presets but also very easy to produce your own unique patches.

For the price, certainly a winner, plays well, sounds good, seems very intuitive. Great addition to any studio.
