Late Golden Age Mystery with Vanishers
This classic (1948) mystery involves a family whose members have often disappeared over the past 150 years. Set in a small Vermont town obsessed with its historic homes, the story follows a photojournalist who becomes an amateur detective as he gets caught up in fresh disappearances and murders.
