    Interesting story and great scenery

    I loved seasons I and II.... and, although I have just watched one episode, I don't think season III will disappoint. I am interested to see how the play one plot through six episodes (prior seasons were two episodes per mystery/case). The characters are good and the scenery is amazing. If you like Morse-, Wallender-, the Tunnel-type shows, then I would give this a try.

    Shetland is a rare find

    This is one of the great lesser known BBC detective shows ever made. Characters are believable, suspense is good but the overall drama is better. Very good acting form unknown sources, BBC has done it again!

    Just great show

    Inspector Perez is a commanding presence with deep sense of justice. Big headstrong Celtic man. Very likeable character. String & compassionate. And what's so great is that the show displays how complex an investigation can be. How there are so pieces in the puzzle, other factors at play.

    It's Braw, But it's Beautiful.

    Beautifully photographed Scottish cop show. Very entertaining. The ever earnest Police Commander, Jimmy Mendes, splendidly performed by the sad-eyed Douglas Henshall gets the convoluted job done every time. "It's braw, but its beautiful!!!" Well worth buying as a keeper.

    Interesting, convoluted mysteries in a beautiful foreign scenery.

    I've gotten very hooked on this series and each season gets better. It has great scenery and very interesting characters that have unfolded more with each season. The mysteries are interesting and convoluted.
