    Superb smaller, lighter, easy, & capable DSLR.

    My wife having owned a 60D for 10 years is finding this lighter more simplified step up a joy to use, with reduced weight and size it is proving beneficial on long photo sessions. She is very much liking the touch screen facility to access all the camera settings and no doubt will find the Wi-Fi facility very useful. Though it is still early days of getting use to this camera she says she has nothing but praise for this camera although tinged with disappointment that she was unable to utilise her collection of batteries from her 60D.

    Canon 77d VFM into Astrophotography

    I picked this up for using at astrophotography. Although it’s a cropped sensor I have been capturing some lovely wide field dark sky shots recently. Works well with the intervelometer, and all the functions are simple to use and navigate around. Simple enough to get good focus on manual mode using the screen with the sensor open, utilising the x10 electronic zoom. Really pleased with it. Older M42 lenses and the Ef adapter are working well. Highly recommend for astrophotography. My wife has used it during the day and can’t believe how good it is compared with her old D70.

    The autofocus is amazing!

    Coming from 9 point af, this new 45 point is a dream. even simple things like navigating the menus is much faster than on my previous camera! I love it!

    very compact and all dials etc are easy to find and 24 megapixels oooh yes !!! Shame about missing codec for RAW files in windows10 picture viewer,BIG inconvenience ....... otherwise fantastic !!
