      Excellent Sewing Awl!

      I have used this tool to repair my leather caterpillar work boots with excellent results. Needles are very sharp and instructions are very good, extremely easy to use. All machined parts have clean edges and polished finish. Overall quality is excellent!

      This can be a very useful tool that is very well made and fits easily in your pack. The cost is very acceptable and will last for many years. Can be used for many different repairs and is very easy to use. There is a You Tube video available to help get started the first time.

      good for fixing heavy duty materials

      A practical tool, for patching thick layers. Makes a large hole, that may rip some materials. Both needles, are for sewing thick materials. Method of sewing, fairly easy to learn.

      Great tool but

      Needle that comes with it is large. A smaller needle would be just right. String works great but for the gage seems mighty weak. I broke it pulling hard on it with smooth tool while tightening at end of stitch. I think regular craft thread is almost as strong. But overall process saved boots and ski bib.

      Stitcher

      Great for making repairs. I cut a man's belt off and stitched it back together, a job my shoe shop wanted $20 to perform, saved lots of money and still have the stitcher for future repairs. My 7 year old grandaughter brings all sorts of things for me to repair and she is always happy with the results!!
