- i***t (205)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseIt’s the only mechanism with an extra long shaft and 33 mm hands that I could find and bought to replace the same that I bought 18 months ago. All these mechanisms look the same but the materials are not. Most cogs are just plastic and not durable likewise the battery cage has poor quality contacts but like I said they’re all the same. Previous one kept stopping at 3.00 am not due to crossing hands.

The mechanism does benefit from a rubber washer to stop it rotating when the battery is inserted, luckily I had a suitable one. I would suggest not Sellotaping the thin brass washer directly to the packing cardboard, as it's a fiddly task to remove.
