Glimpse the origins of explorer Lara Croft as she struggles for survival on an isolated tropical island in Crystal Dynamics' reboot of Tomb Raider. You’ll find the recently graduated Croft joining her treasure-hunting mentor Conrad Roth on an expedition into the Pacific Ocean's dangerous Dragon's Triangle. When a powerful storm splits their ship in half and washes the survivors onto shore, they are greeted by dangerous terrain, fierce wildlife, and fortune-seeking scavengers. To escape with your life, you’ll use a combination of exploration skills and combat and make a variety of upgradeable weapons and tools, including torches, a bow, an ax, and a host of guns. The action mostly takes place in open, multi-path locations, which also lends itself to multiplayer action, in which groups of survivors fight groups of scavengers in a variety of modes and maps.

    One of the best reboots of a game series...

    For my money, considering the amount of franchises that have flopped and missed the mark in refreshing their game properties, this is one of the best to do it. A much more brutal and darker take of a classic beloved series (a trend of the early 2010's) while still maintaining it's humanity and sense of adventure and ingenious puzzle solving and platforming. While it shares similarities with another certain action/adventure game, it's still very much it's own product. And it's definitely aged better than some of the pre-2005 Tomb Raider games. All in all, a great Tomb Raider game, one of the best and a launching pad for arguably even better games within the coming years.

    Love This Game

    This is the first Tomb Raider game I have played. The graphics are amazing. Movement is fluid and realistic. The environments are extremely detailed and varied. The storyline is interesting. LOVE this game. Would highly recommend it.

    GOTY version

    I had to realize that the Game of the Year Edition downloadable contents not avaible: The code in the box good for only that country, where the game was printed. So this game, which came from US, good for only as a basic game in Europe. In this way there isn't any sence to pay higher price for GOTY edition. I read forums in this topic: On the Square Enix company's servers this game contents don't exist anymore but the given code good only for its servers. They have sent the complaining people to the Sony but there isn't any meaning for that. Can you imagine that a hardware company will operate any server for softwares? Why should they do that? And there isn't code for Sony servers in the game box.
