      Jakar pencil sharpener great.

      I know Jakar as a very reliable, high quality brand from my picture mounting days. This mains electric pencil sharpener is the newest of 3 top makes I keep handy in different places around the place. It’s every bit as good as the other two. No complaints at all.

      Sturdy and effective

      It is not the lightest or quietest pencil sharpener I have used, but it is very strong and works very well. As a hobbyist sketcher I have tried many different pencil sharpeners, battery operated and manual, and this is definitely my favourite. I wish I had avoided some of the cheaper ones and gone straight for this amazing beast. It is heavy and solid, a little noisy, but it works so well that I can easily forgive the noise, and the weight is an advantage as it doesn't vibrate itself across my desk like some of the lesser machines I have used. I would recommend this item for anybody that has to sharpen pencils often.

      Well designed and easy to use

      Seems to do an excellent job on pencils and pencil-type crayons. Mains powered so no need for batteries. A reassuringly solid piece of kit for the table top. It is not designed for portable use, for soft crayons or wide diameter pencils.

      Good quality sharpener .

      I have been using this for good while now , I have to have my pencils sharp ! ;Works perfectly every time - very quick with the auto-stop feature when using pencils up to about 4B, anything softer will need a bit more care or the leads will break ( as they would with any other auto sharpener) . Good build quality, I can highly recommend this sharpener. This would be ideal for schools or art classes.

      Good, well made product

      Well made, works well. Easy to use,especially if you find manual sharpeners difficult or painful to use due to hand and/or wrist problems. Some larger diameter pencils don't fit, but sharpens to a good point. Heavy enough that it doesn't move on the table in use. Would recommend.
