    Friedkin Classic finally on Bluray

    When I purchased this item I noticed that the rating listed with the film was "G", which made me laugh. This is a gritty, dark film that starts with the lives of 4 men forced to flee their lifestyles and go into hiding in a poor, South American village. All are living in extreme poverty when an unexpected explosion in a nearby oil well gives them a second chance for a new life. The problem is that the oil well fire can only be extinguished by an explosive blast of nitro-glycerin, and the only available product has not been properly stored, making it very unstable. The lightest jar could cause an explosion that would level a city block. Offered a big paycheck if they deliver the 4 men are picked to drive 2 trucks 200 miles through thick, muddy jungle roads.     I rarely write a review but this time i had to , this movie brings back so many memories for me so when i saw it i had to have it but when i got it i got so much more than i expected it is like a deluxe edition with a small book inside with background history on the director and the film itself . I thought i was just getting a Blu-ray of one of my favorite movies but instead i got a collectors item of one of my favorite movies that i will have the rest of my life ! Thanks again !

    Great film, great acting, great transfer.

    Outstanding film. I saw this when it first came out in the movies and later had it on Beta. Hadn't seen it in 20 years. I forgot how good it was. The digital transfer is awesome. It includes a booklet with extras, and the case itself feels and opens like a hardcover book. Overall, a great addition to my collection.
