    Simpson Strong 4 x 4 post base support, supper price and quality

    These Simpson Strong Tie 4 x 4 post base has made my deck building easy. I don't have to make a through cut in the top decking to secure a post. By putting supports on the stringers and using lag bolts to secure the base this makes a strong support for a 4 x 4 and then also attaching a railing. These bases are made well and are priced right. I will recommend them to anyone that will be building a deck.

    Simpson Strong-E

    These Simpson Strong-Tie EZ Base have made my deck building super easy. Attaching these to the top of the deck with supports screwed to the stringers under the deck top have made it easy to put on 4x4 posts. I don't have to cut the deck top boards for through 4x4's. Just anchor the base with lag screws to the top of the deck and lag screws through the drilled holes in the side of the base and your done! The result is a very strong post to attach the railing. The quality of the base is made well and the price is good too. I will recommend them to my friends that may be building a deck.

    Excellent product and highly recommend

    I had to install a stair and porch railing on 25 year old poured concrete. The railing had to pass local codes so had to be sturdy. After doing research I opted to purchase these Simpson Strong Tie deck post brackets. They did the job perfectly. The only problem, a minor one...was that I had to shave down the 4"x4" posts to fit inside the brackets. That was easily solved with a belt sander. The quality of these brackets is superb. The thickness of the metal is such that you would be hard put to dent it with a 4 pound hammer. The posts I installed are sturdy and solid and easily passed inspection.

    Well made

    Product is made from heavy gauge steel and, although I haven't installed it(handrail) yet, I have no doubt it will perform well. I don't like the big product sticker because it's not easily removed. Overall, it's a great product.
