  • Excellent mastering and pressing!

Impressive! Although the 1966 recording is in some instruments distorted (EKL-4407), the reproduction of this masterwork is awesome. The remaster from original analog tapes, plus the pressing, are second to none (not a fold out mono from the stereo recording). The catalogue number of this issue I've recently purchased, is the same as the original. Something that impressed me, is Jim Morrison's voice, lifefull, tonal balance and depth, they are very important elements to consider. The recording is neither more nor less than 57 years! It has an amazing fresh sound! Many thanks to Bernie Grundman, RSD, and Rhino Vinyl, which have made possible this reissue! Cheers!

  • MONO. WHAT A SOUND!

The Doors in MONO on vinyl was originally released in 1967. Since that year, all future pressings were pressed in only SETREO sound. Stereo was a "new" method of recording music. MONO was the best sound in recorded music and The Doors were NO exception. This debut album from the fantastic and amazing Doors sounds far superior in MONO then the extremely "thin" and experimental STEREO sound of the time.
