    Versatile and reliable

    I have used DrayTek 286* series router/firewalls for years for our home network, relying on their integrated modem. The 2865ax is significantly faster than the earlier models. It is compatible with earlier models so that, if you are careful, a saved configuration from an earlier model can be loaded into the 2865ax, saving the need to laboriously re-create all the proven network settings. I have installed the latest firmware from DrayTek (4.4.5.8_BT), which is an easy operation. Doing all this to switch over to the 2865ax took me about 5 minutes. The 2865ax is proving reliable in operation (been running for a month now with no glitches). The 2865ax's central management system is useful. It allows you to manage DrayTek kit such as AP900 access points and P1092 switches without having to ...
