For the amount I payed for this game, it came in great shape. The disc was next to scratch-free, and while the case was not in the best shape, it was still in decent enough condition. There was no manual, but that is really the only downside to this package. To anyone who doesn't know, this is a blue disc PS2 title, and my PS2 may run it perfectly, but it is very loud, and the system can sound like its a ferarri revving up. This caught me off guard at first, but I think it's just a different disc format that causes the louder noises to appear. The game itself was a blast to play, and I recommend this game to anyone looking for a good blast from the past. Don't be fooled if you think this is the exact same game as the GameCube and XBOX versions, however. Certain scenarios, camera perspectives, visual effects, dialogue, and menus are very different in the PS2 version. If you originally had a Gamecube or XBOX copy, the PS2 version will be a slightly different experience, and I honestly preferred the PS2 version, so take that for what it's worth.Read full review
It’s the only version of the game featured in the disc 2 of the film, and it’s graphics would be reused for the ps2/gamecube/Xbox/pc versions of quidditch World Cup and the 2003 remake of the sorcerer’s stone. The controls were indeed smoother here than the gamecube/Xbox versions and the 2003 remake of the sorcerer’s stone. Harry’s voice was quite fitting and it kinda matched what he’d sound like in the books, as the same voice was used in the trailer of the first game, as well as having a few voice clips recycled in the 2003 game. Unfortunately, Harry doesn’t have his invisibility cloak here, so the stealth sequences are pretty often and complicated, so I’d save to avoid loosing house points before doing them at Hogwarts. And most of the canon events from the book and film are either altered, omitted or pretty much left to other versions and Dobby is mentioned to be in the box, but he doesn’t appear in the game, and Ron’s wand doesn’t break here, so Lockhart doesn’t go with them to the chamber of secrets either, nor does his wand backfire during the mud blood event, but Harry’s wand does backfire instead when a spell is overpowered, but interestingly his wand warns him of his surroundings, if the wand glows green, everything’s alright, if it glows red, something is wrong and his movements will allow him to sneak. And during the basilisk fight, unlike the canon, the sword releases a magic beam, which has to be directed right under the basilisk neck or throat. I’ve always loved this hp game as it’s beautiful due to it’s animation and pretty action packed, even though many canon events aren’t in it, making the book a little shorter too. I also like how we saw the ad to ty the Tasmanian tiger behind the manual, the same treatment was also made to the GameCube and Xbox versions of the game, and ty also had the ads to this game in all it’s versions too.Read full review

When I was a kid I had this game but I sold it. I recently got a ps2 and thought about this game so i decided to get it again. Other places were selling it for around $30 but I looked on here and it was cheap so I bought it. I don’t regret it. That is all

We are just happy the game actually worked! We never realized someone would take money for a game that was not operable.

EA isn’t known for making great movie game adaptations, however these were a fun nostalgic trip!

Fun. A great childhood game. A compelling world to explore... A good Harry Potter game with good graphics for when the tittle was originally released.
