      Charm, realism, and memories all in one.

      In my opinion, Dept 56 buildings and accessories look much better in a matte finish as opposed to glossy, as this piece is. Also, I prefer the true porcelain, not ceramic. That being said, this house is so much like my grandmother's real home that I had to add it to my collection. I use it in a fox hunting scene that remains on the credenza as you enter our home. Horses jumping stone fences, hounds chasing the scent, and the fox running round the corner of the house. Truly a fine scene to come home to.
