      More parts than needed.

      Since this kit covers several different models of the Walbro carb, there's a lot of pieces that sometimes aren't needed. Pay close attention when you disassemble and hope someone else hasn't already changed things, like removed gaskets, etc. Online tutorials can be helpful with installation too, there are no instructions included!

      Good Kit w/minor exceptions

      The kit was fine except my spring was shorter in the W-T 79 and smaller than the one in the kit and the screen was too big, but price, and shipping response time good.

      "Genuine" is the key

      If I'm going to rebuild a carb, I'm going to use the best parts available which usually means oem. This kit isn't expensive to start with, so why not use the best? Everything I needed and parts fit perfect. I am confident I won't have to do this again for a long time.

      Walbro Trimmer Carb Kit

      The kit had OE Walbro parts which is good. What doesn't make sense is that the needle valve return spring is not included though it can be purchased separately from Walbro. It might not be a normal wear out part but customers would appreciate the spare since the needle installation can "launch the spring."

      carb repair is easy if you have this kit

      today's gas with alcohol eats up carb adjustments, fills tiny orifice with evaporative contaminants and any storage over four months makes for a hard to start, or no start, condition. Unlless you have access to 100LL fuel or gas without alcohol, some marina's have it. some airports will allow it, ...your gonna need to rebuild carbs now and then. So these are cheap and easy and make up for our low quality gasoline recipes which, while great for the county's oil conservation and air quality improvements, doesn't take into account small engine requirements which haven't changed since the days of high test, no alcohol fuels.
