    I really enjoyed Matt Haig’s Midnight Library so, I thought, I would give this one a go. The book has instantly hooked me within the first few pages and I can’t wait to read more of it. The book arrived in a really good condition (however was delivered a day later than expected) but, overall, a great purchase!

    Interesting story

    Great idea for a story. Historically interesting as it goes through historical events through the eyes of someone who was there. Dramatic ending, even melodramatic. It's the kind of book that stays with you and makes you think. The one thing I didn't like, hence only 4 stars, is the profanity. It's not all the way through but I don't like to read books with swearing in them and I wish that the publishers had warned of it. Matt Haig writes effectively and convincingly. For example, when Tom has a headache I can feel my head hurting too! It's the kind of book you can keep re-reading without getting bored even though you know the outcome.

    A friend recommended this author as his books had won Sunday times best sellers and I bought this and The Midnight Library - both are worth a read Iwould recommend

    Bit battered

    I wouldn’t of said this book was in very good condition I know it was used but it looked like it had water damage to some of the pages and the cover was badly creased I would of said it was well used
