    a worthy & welcome addition to my plethora of workstations

    Since seeing the video for the song "Abacab" by Genesis on a then-new MTV back in 1981, i've been amassing a wealth of keyboard workstations. The Roland Fantom X6 reminds me of when i got out of the Army and bought my first Ensoniq EPS sampling workstation -- it is super-intuitive to create full-blown musical works from just this one synthesizer. All of the buttons are where i'd expect them to be, and the O.S. is robust and well thought out. You can read the specifications elsewhere; suffice to say this 'board stands right up there with my other fave workstations (e.g., Alesis Fusion, various Ensoniq kit, Korg KARMA, Trinity, Roland Juno-DS, Yamaha EX-5...) I'm really glad i sprang for this one! Your particular needs may differ of course, but IMHO there is something wonderful to be ...

    A remarkable keyboard workstation for studio and live performance.

    I purchased a (discontinued) Roland Fantom-X6 after seeing the X7 among the gear list of Geddy Lee (RUSH). He used an X7 along with a Moog Little Phatty synth on the "Snakes and Arrows" and "Time Machine" tours. Having looked at the Moog Voyager, Little Phatty, and Sub 37 synthesizers, I finally decided on the Fantom-X as it, unlike the aforementioned synths, is a fully functional keyboard workstation that features a color LCD display, hundreds of factory presets, loads of onboard effects, and a control panel with a button for just about every feature the Fantom-X has to offer. Among the myriad features is a real-time sampler (along with a 16-track sequencer) that I am using to record all of my favorite RUSH samples using the internal sound generator and several ...

    Roland Fantom X6...61 keys of Synth Excellence

    The Fantom is a great keyboard to own. Their are manuals and handbooks that come along with it to make the learning curve that much easier. It weighs28 pounds... makes it light and portable for rehearsals and gigs. The keyboard action is firm enough so that you can feel some resistance. I can't wait to use it on a gig.
