    OUTSTANDING...BUT.....

    This was an outstanding disc set. The facts were presented as "historically" as we are taught. They did not give credence, though, to well known concepts. 1. US knew about impending attack on Pearl Harbor 2. Hitler's possible escape (and in this dvd it didn't mention that he killed himself with Eva Braun next to him - which is also reported "factually". 3. Where was Eisenhowser? All in all, it was a very good set and I would highly recommend it - with followup discussion and in depth review. But the basic facts are made simple and easy to grasp.

    Good acting,but needed a technical director.

    I you have any knowledge about WW1 and WW2 weapons airplanes and vehicles stand by for a good laugh.German troops with British rifles,German troops with American rifles etc etc. Very poor editing,B17 bombers cut in with Luftwaffe bombers,pieces of other movies used for stock footage.Part of the movie was printed in reverse in one scene WW1 troops are shooting left handed rifles,all military rifles were right handed.A jeep used in a WW1 scene,we didn't have jeeps until WW2.And naturally there was the propaganda that FDR saved us from the Depression,his policies only took us one big step towards Socialism.All in all the good acting saved this movie from being a total loss.

    Great for classroom discussions!

    History channel does a great job of bring out the true characters of ww1 and ww2. I plan to use this in my classroom as a enrichment and to give my students a visual representation of the times.
