Durable and simple
The material Evazote is great, it is stiffer which means the mat don't need to be as thick as the cheaper counterparts. It also bounces back to original shape faster, so it won't try to roll back as much as the cheaper materials. Of course it's waterproof too and the material is tougher so ti will last longer. It has 2 holes for laces to tie it with when it's rolled up. This is a great way to avoid loosing the straps. But the holes are very awkwardly placed far from the edge. I assume this is to avoid tearing but it's quite impractical. The laces come tied in a lark's head knot so you have 2 ends to tie the pad with. Not pretty but it works. I remade this by making one big loop (from elastic cord and threading it from the underside. through both holes, so I got one loop on each end on the ...
