A great reference book for someone like me who likes these vintage toys but really doesn't know too much about them. I often see these wind-up and mechanical toys on ebay but don't know what they are called or how they looked when produced. The author has collected them for many years and most often with their original packaging. The chapters are divided by subjects; animals, vehicles, characters, etc. Each toy has one large, full color photo with it's original package when possible and it's name, most often the name on the package. The price guide is in the rear of the book and probably not of much value since the book was published in 1995. But I find that price guides are seldom of much value so it's well woth buying for the photos alone. The pages are of nice quality, heavy weight with a glossy finish. The only problem with books like this is that they just make you aware of yet more things that you want to collect!Read full review
Great photos, you can really see the details in the toy. Cons: There is only one photo of each toy. No description of the action of the toy. Like any price guide, it's only useful for comparison.
