Nintendo's popular life development sim adds amiibo support in this re-release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. As always, players are free to explore their quaint village, interact with anthropomorphic animals, and customize their home and physical appearance, but New Leaf also introduces a mechanic that lets gamers become the town mayor, create laws, and build public works projects. Players can collect money from fellow citizens in order to build things like bridges, fountains, and police stations, and they can make laws requiring citizens to be active at certain times of day.<br><br>As they explore their town, gamers can visit familiar characters like Tom Nook, K.K. Slider, and Blanca, or they can meet new characters like the gardening sloth Leif, the alpacas Reese and Cyrus who own a re-sale store, and the dog personal assistant Isabelle. As with all games in the series, time passes in New Leaf just like it does in real life: seasons change, villagers wear weather-appropriate outfits, and the town celebrates a variety of holidays. Players can relax with fishing and swims in the ocean, or they can use Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection to visit a friend's village, or head to Tortimer Island for multiplayer mini-games.

    The height of Animal Crossing that has some room for improvement (Villager interactibility).

    New Leaf has more content then new horizons like a better kapp's islands that leads to mini games and such as well as a better bug-off and fishing tourney that's competitive instead of that lame fish-all-you-can for prizes. Graphics, yes they are good for it's time in 2012. The music is better then the ones in New Horizons. I wish they would have put more into the dialog as, This is Animal Crossing, and it's centered around the villagers.

    my favorite game

    acnl is such a perfect and intricately designed game. there is so much depth the possibilities in this game are endless. i love the amiibo card feature, especially since there are sanrio characters you can unlock! the only cons to me are that you can only hold a maximum of 10 custom designs, you can't rearrange your town, and that you cant make animals leave your town. other than a few slight inconveniences this game is perfect! very ahead of it's time for a game from 2014!

    I love it!! It is a wonderfully and cleverly created game, full of very interactive decisions to make: the interior and exterior decoration of your own house, the gradual development of your town, small tasks to complete, and the overall cheery feel of the game is very pleasant. Also, it is very kid-friendly, encouraging possible education in life-like selling, buying, debt-paying transactions. It is a very relaxing game, and I love it!!

    Great for long distance relationships/relaxing!

    My datemate loves it!! Has never played an animal crossing game in their life, but fell for this game really quick. Ideal for the relaxed gamer looking to help pass down time. Also ideal for hanging out with them while they’re so far away from me. I love writing them letters and giving them gifts, and seeing the cute catchphrases they make their villagers say. With the islands, multiplayer is easily way more fun than the previous games. Actually, hands down, New Leaf is better than any of the old Animal Crossing games. Can’t wait to see what’s changed in the new game!

    Amazing for the price!

    I was a little scared at first to buy since there was no photo of the back side where the contacts are and I couldn't tell if there was any corrosion or not. But the game came in perfect condition!! I now own two copies of this game. I love it! The game came with the welcome amibo card as well still wrapped! The saddest thing however was that someone's town was still loaded up! I strolled through the old town of EvrShade with Jazmine and co. and got it appraised by Nook for 7mil. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to doing business will y'all again! Thanks so much!
