best speaker coating you can buy
I was skeptical at first because past results with paint on mdf or particle board were bad. duratex worked excellent, results were better than any finish I have seen on expensive speakers. The problem with paint is the cabinet absorbs it, and makes the cab material soft like when it gets soaked with water. With duratex its thick enough it stays on the surface and dries pretty fast. The light texture I got using a common paint roller was perfect. plus I double coated first pair and cut back to one coat on the remaining cabs. they look good too. One thing that must be realized is the prep needed is important for the results. This means all carpeting on cab must be removed. Thats harder than just yanking it off. That works for most of it, on remaining fabric still glued on we used a mini ... Works on a guitar amp
One application does the trick, for a more durable finish, add another ! I refinished a Fishman Loudbox amplifier using this product. Removed the peeling covering and the fabric underneath with a wire brush down to the particle board and applied with great results!

Extremely easy to work with!
Very easy to apply. My subwoofer enclosure look very good today after this product. Used 1/2 of this product with 2 coats. The enclosure size is 60x20x20 cm. I will buy more for later projects !
