    Casio Waveceptor Digital Watch

I have only scratched the surface of what this watch can do. So far, its amazing. I can't wait to put in different world cities and locations. If you want a sporty looking, men's steel band watch that is not big and bulky on your wrist, then this is the watch for you too. Its sporty looking but not shabby or cheesy looking...in other words, if you wear a suit and tie, this won't hinder your ensemble one bit. And its digital and has great features that are today's in demand features...can't get that in a wind up, bulky watch that is immature/cheesy looking. Its still a "manly" looking watch even though its not bigger than your hand...not a women's or "nurses" watch by any means. My wrist is not large so I had to take it to a jeweler who could and did remove some of the links in the ...

  • Most critical review

    Was great at first.

I had one of these watches previously for 6 years. Always worked great. Caught the band on something while wearing it & broke the watch. So I Ordered another figuring I would have the same great luck with this one. Not so this time. It worked great for the first 11/2 months. Now several times a week it will loose it's memory and reset itself to Jan 1, 2005 at 1200 AM and start from their. Have to manually reset it to the correct time. Everything is programed according to the manual. Very frustrating!! Other than that it looks very nice and I love the band that comes with it. It wears very well. Would I get another one? Probably not.

  • The best watch on the planet

I've had one of these for 15 years. Still works perfectly. Day of week, date, time, year all on one easy to read digital display. I never have to set this watch. Keeps perfect time. Stainless watch band is easy to adjust with an easy on/off clasp. Lithium battery last a very long time. Lightweight and handsome. This watch has a round face. Earlier models had a rectangular face which to me makes more sense for a digital watch. But I suppose its a matter of personal taste.

  • Great watch at a very reasonable price, Very good seller, too.

This is a great watch at a very reasonable price. Because it is an atomic watch, it always shows the correct time within a few seconds. It also has other features such as a stop watch and an alarm. I've had one exactly like it for over ten years, and it never gave me any trouble until its battery finally died. I replaced the battery and it resumed its flawless operation.

  • Great value. Good solid watch for the money.

This is a very good value for a self-setting (e.g. "Atomic") watch. And Casio is a brand I like and trust. I like the fact it isn't too huge (in fact I wish it were even smaller). I never understood this fad towards huge men's watches. A really nice surprise is the removable links. Casio is good about designing their bands such that you don't need a jeweler to remove links. However, on my G-Shock these means there are a whole lot of spring-bars and they started to fail after a decade. The design of this band doesn't use spring-bars so I expect it to hold up better over the long term. On the other side, this is a cheap watch. It does not have a crystal lens, just plastic. So it IS going to get scratched over time!
