Tried this because of the price, cheaper than a lot of brands, I did have to do a few upgrades - the switch and wiring supplied weren't really up for the task so I replaced them, tried it out last weekend on the water, does work quite well, it's not the fastest or most powerful winch but draws less than 50 amps as long as you don't load it up too much. Not as good as some of the big name brands, but 1/3 of the price. Beats pulling the anchor by hand

Product mounted on boat 3 days ago, the boat has only sat on the driveway. Only to see surface rust on power terminals and housing screws after 2 days of rain. I can't see it lasting long out on salt water. I hope i'm wrong .All operations working ok so far. The big test to come when I get out for a fish. switch isn't what's shown in the picture. If you purchase one of these be prepared for a $60 extra postage charge. Seems to be the standard practise for this seller. I hope this info helps
