Featuring 55 missions that range from 15 minutes to over an hour, you can wrap your hands around the controls of 20 aircraft including the Airbus 321, the Boeing 747-400, the Bell 206B helicopter, a variety of Cessna and Beechcraft models, and the Douglas DC-3. A tutorial is available for beginners, while professional pilots and expert gamers can attempt more dangerous and time-consuming flights. Missions feature such short flights as taking a floatplane from Seattle to the San Juan Islands, to longer and more challenging flights like emergency landing an airliner over water.<br><br>Utilizing satellites and pictures from space shuttles, Microsoft Flight Simulator X manages to include 24 million roads, 10,000 accurately placed stars, and 24,000 airports. Improvements made to the graphics engine allow 6,000 objects per square kilometer, and vegetation and items for 23 distinct regions. For example, when flying low over Africa, you may see small huts in tribal villages and elephants grazing next to acacia trees. And by using models for human density reports, the game will render the correct amount of traffic when you are close enough to see cars on the street. Online play includes the ability to fly in a populated world, or be air traffic controller for fellow pilots. The Deluxe Edition includes such added goodies as the Garmin G1000 in three cockpits, additional aircraft in the fleet, Tower Control capability, and a SDK pack for development.

    Give me FSX anytime.Lightweight with great features

    Compered to steam this is easier to load etc,More than once I will not buy anything associated with steam Once you use you( might as well throw it away. as it is to much trouble to get new passwords.etc.) I have 3 railsim games 2014x2 2015 and two FSX steam which I can,t get new keys to download them with, the procedure one has to go through is not worth the trouble.One feels like a thief to get any satisfaction from the game.

    Great program easy to use, my computer has issues

    I used to have this product on my old computer, but when I got a new computer I could no longer install my old program, since it only lets you use it on one computer, which is why I bought this new unsealed version. My new computer installed it on drive C which had very little space left, so I could not put any of my add ons for it since it told me I did not have enough space. I tried installing it to drive D which still had plenty of space but it gave me error messages, so I am still without the program. I need to take my new computer in since things are not backing up into my external hard drive also. Program is great since I've had it for years. It's my new gaming computer which is having problems.

    it works great, no more annoying Steam stuff

    I just wanted to play flight simulator, but the new version has this whole Steam login, online, do stuff over internet thing to it. That's great if I'm playing other Steam games, but I'm not, so it was just more bloat and internet connectivity I didn't need. I went back to an older version of Flight Simulator - problem solved. Works fine on my Windows 7 machine (I haven't made the jump to Win10 yet).

    Not great ...just good

    Good graphics, relaxing as any FS, it's from Microsoft so it will crash and you'll need patches and fixes. In graphics X-plane is a century ahead. Powerful computer needed.
